Welcome to the official website for CCS Taiko!
A Gloucestershire based Taiko group for both typical and special needs children and adults. Gloucester’s only dedicated Taiko organisation.
£600 for ‘Raise The Roof!’
Our show at Upton St Leonards Parish Church was a huge success! We raised £600 to support the repair for the church roof. We’ve received some incredible feedback, and we’re mentioned in the Parish Newsletter. When we’re back you’ll be sure to know about it!
Discover Our Workshops
Session 1 - Beginners
Our first session is for our beginners and open to all. In this session, we teach the basics and fundamentals of playing Taiko. Teaching basic rhythms and techniques.
Session 2 - Performance
Our performance hour is where we rehearse our repertoire. As well as learning new pieces, it’s important to keep on top of the songs we already know.
During this session, we will play each song in our setlist, working on different aspects of the pieces to make sure they’re always performance ready.
Session 3 - New skills
Our final session on a Saturday is dedicated to learning new techniques, and mostly new pieces. As with all of our sessions, we do our best to break everything down, and take things slow. To make sure everyone is on the same page, and to make sure everyone knows what to do!
Everyone is welcome to come ands join us on a Saturday, whether it be to participate or to watch. We have very laid back and enjoyable sessions, there’s no judgement and people of all different skills are welcome!
